My journey to osteopathy
I have been passionate about natural and alternative approaches to health from a young age. Growing up active in sports, I began experiencing unexplained knee pain at eight years old. What started as occasional knee pain gradually became something that affected my daily activities and eventually involved other areas of my body. Despite seeing a variety of health practitioners, I never found an approach that fully resolved my concerns.
It wasn’t until I began receiving consistent osteopathic care that I started to experience what “normal” felt like again. Pain-free days became more frequent, and even my chronic migraines significantly decreased. This experience deepened my curiosity about the body, movement, and health, and ultimately led me toward osteopathy.
What drew me to osteopathy was its whole-body approach and gentle, hands-on treatment style. I was drawn to the way osteopathy looks at the body as an interconnected system, rather than focusing solely on where a person feels pain or discomfort. This approach aligned with how I had come to understand health and the importance of looking beyond the symptoms to better understand the person as a whole.
Education & Credentials
I hold a diploma in Health, Wellness, and Fitness from Mohawk College, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from St. Francis Xavier University, with a Major in Women and Gender Studies and a Minor in Development Studies.
After completing my studies at St. FX, I spent time exploring Western Canada, where I was first introduced to osteopathy and received treatment in British Columbia. That experience gave me a new perspective on health and movement and sparked my interest in pursuing osteopathy as a career.
I went on to complete the four-year, principle-based program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, earning a Master’s in the Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc).
Credentials

Throughout my clinical education, I had the opportunity to treat over 100 patients both within and outside the student clinic in Hamilton, Ontario. Today, as the owner and Manual Osteopathic Practitioner at Peak Alignment Osteopathy in Calgary NW, my goal is to help you better understand your body, explore the underlying factors contributing to your concerns, and support your body’s ability to move and function well.
Life outside the clinic
Outside of the clinic, you’ll likely find me hiking or skiing in the mountains, spending time with friends and furry companions, or enjoying Ontario’s lakes with my family. I have always loved being active and spending time outdoors, and I know how important it can be to feel capable of doing the things you enjoy.
Whether that means getting out on a mountain trail, playing a sport, keeping up with your family, or simply moving comfortably through your everyday life, I hope to provide care that supports you in continuing to do the things that matter to you and makes your day-to-day activities feel more manageable.
